The Global Climate Design Awards (GCDA) celebrate the world’s most exceptional climate design ideas. Our mission is to recognize excellence and innovation in design that positively impacts the circular economy and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. We aim to inspire passion for climate action through design, amplify education about sustainable solutions, and influence consumer behavior and purchasing choices.
At GCDA, we conduct extensive research to identify groundbreaking projects, products, and programs from around the world. The nominees are vetted, and winners are selected by an expert panel of judges.
Our nominees represent a rich diversity of perspectives, including geographic location, scale, ethnicity, and gender. From young solo practitioners to well-established organizations, all share a strong commitment to shaping a more sustainable future. Our awards honor visionary achievements in sustainable design, architecture, and innovation.
