When St. Roch Market first opened in New Orleans in 2015, food lovers in "The Big Easy" rejoiced. But the St. Roch Market they know and love today isn't the original-in fact, for more than 140 years, the O.G. St. Roch Market was an open-air market where locals could dine, shop and mingle together. That location was completely destroyed in Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and on the 10th anniversary of its closing, local entrepreneurs Will Donaldson and Barre Tanguis re-opened it as the lively southern food hall it is today.
